View Approved Funding Details

Step-by-Step Instructions

Notes: These training videos were created the fall of 2015. The content of each screen is subject to change over time; therefore, when you are in LGIS, some of the screens may look slightly different, but the functions remain the same unless otherwise noted.

The View Approved Funding Details screen displays a snapshot of your current funding details.

1)  Click on the View Approved Funding Details link.

  • Approved Funding Amount: The LGIS Wind Farm project has been approved for
    $399,998 in funding.

  • Less Claims Paid to Date: The total amount of all Claims that have been paid, keeping in mind it is the funding amount reimbursed and does not include your portion. In this example, my project has one paid claim for the amount of $59,998 shown in this row.

  • Less Holdbacks Not Yet Paid: The amount of a claim that the Ministry withholds until the project has been completed. This can occur when the total eligible costs well exceed the approved funding amount, or it can occur on a claim by claim basis. Ministry holdbacks are generally 10%. In this example, my project does not have a holdback associated to it, therefore this row displays $0.

  • Less Disbursements Paid to Date: An amount here indicates that a lump sum payment has been made. Most programs do not have disbursements and as you can see my project did not receive a disbursement, therefore the row displays $0.

  • Less Amount Decommitted: A decommitment is an unclaimed approved funding amount at the end of project completion. Once a final claim is paid and the final report is received confirming no further claims will be submitted, any remaining funds will be de- committed and display in this line. My project is still active and not complete, therefore the line displays $0.

  • Remaining Balance of Approved Funding: The total of the Approved Funding, less all of the above amounts. My project has a remaining balance of $340,000.

  • Less Submitted Claims in Progress: is the reimbursement amount of any claims that have been submitted but are not yet paid. I submitted a claim for $30,000 and expect a reimbursement of $19,998. Claims that have been created but not yet submitted will be in "Claim Incomplete" status, claims in this status are not included in these calculations.

  • The Estimated Available Balance of Approved Funding is $ 320,002.
